Cialis

Cialis is an oral prescription medication used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Follow prescription instructions strictly. It is up to your doctor to determine the right dosage for you. Cialis is dispensed in tablets of 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg.

The recommended starting dose is 10 mg. The maximum recommended dose of Cialis is one tablet a day.

Warnings Precautions

Do not use Cialis if you are taking medications with nitrates or nitric oxide, have irregular blood pressure (high or low), or if you have a had a stroke or a heart attack. In case of combining Cialis with medicines such as nitrates and alpha-blockers, or recreational drugs that contain nitrates called “poppers”, your blood pressure may drop precipitously, causing you to feel dizzy, faint, or result in a heart attack or stroke. Exercise caution when driving or operating heavy machinery until you are fully aware of the side effects of Cialis. Patients who suffer from lactose intolerance should not use Cialis as it contains lactose. Consumption of grapefruit juice should be avoided during treatment with Cialis as it may result in serious side effects.

Missing a Dose

In case of missing a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule if it is almost time for your next dose. Never take two doses at the same time.

Possible Side Effects

The side effects of Cilais normally subside within a few hours. Headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose are among the most common side effects of Cialis. Patients usually experience back pain and muscle aches within 12 to 24 hours after taking Cialis and these should subside within 48 hours. If you detect any symptoms that appear unusual or are particularly irritating, contact your doctor for advice.

Storage

Store Cialis at room temperature of between 59 and 86 F (15 and 30 C).

Overdose

Hemodialysis may slightly reduce Cialis content. Standard supportive measures should be applied in cases of a suspected Cialis overdose.

More Information

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of headaches, dizziness, rapid heartbeat or low blood pressure and alcohol should be consumed in moderate quantities during the treatment with Cialis. It is up to your doctor to determine the exact Cialis dose depending on the side effects Cialis has on you. Do not alter the prescribed Cialis dose without consulting your doctor first.
