Cleocin T

Cleocin T is used for the relief and treatment of acne vulgaris. Apply a thin layer of Cleocin T Topical Solution to the affected area twice daily or use a Cleocin T Topical Solution pledget. You may use more than one pledget. Each pledget should be used only once. Dispose of the pledget after use.

Warnings Precautions

It is not known whether clindamycin, the active ingredient of Cleocin T, is passed onto breast milk. The oral and parenteral administration of clindamycin causes its excretion into breast milk.

Missing a Dose

In case of a missed dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule if it is almost time for your next dose. Never take two doses at the same time.

Possible Side Effects

Abdominal pain, gastrointestinal disorders and gram-negative folliculitis have been reported in association with the use of topical formulations of clindamycin. Cases of sever colitis have been reported after the oral and parenteral administration of Cleocin T. Cleocin T may have a lethal effect.

Storage

Do not apply the pledget if the seal is broken. Dispose of the pledget after use. Keep out of reach of children. Store in tightly closed containers.

Overdose

When administered topically Cleocin T may be absorbed in amounts that may cause systemic effects. In case of a suspected overdose, seek medical help at once.

More Information

Combining Cleocin T with neuromuscular blocking agents may cause side effects.
