Esgic Plus

esgic-plusEsgic Plus is used for the treatment of tension headaches It relieves pain and acts as a relaxant. Follow strictly prescription instructions. The recommended dose for adults is 2 capsules or tablets every four hours. The maximum dosage of 325 or 500 mg acetaminophen capsules or tablets is six per day. Do not overdose or take Esgic Plus more or less frequently, or for a longer period of time than instructed by your doctor.

Warnings Precautions

If the effect of Esgic Plus wears off over time, it may mean that you are developing an addiction to the drug. Dependency on the medicine may also be indicated by the appearance of headaches more frequently than before you started taking it. This may be the case if you experience a headache within 1 day after taking your last dose of Esgic Plus, if you experience headaches every day or if the headaches continue for several successive days. Continuous use of the medicine may cause more frequent headaches in the future. Do not increase your regular dosage in order to alleviate pain. Consult your doctor as to the treatment of the headaches.

Missing a Dose

If you are taking the medicine on a regular basis and you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule if it is almost time for your next dose. Never take two doses at the same time.

Possible Side Effects

Bleeding or crusting sores on lips; chest pain; fever with or without chills; hive-like swellings (large) on eyelids, face, lips, and/or tongue; muscle cramps or pain; red, thickened, or scaly skin; shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing; skin rash, itching, or hives; sores, ulcers, or white spots in mouth (painful); sore throat; confusion (mild); mental depression; unusual excitement (mild) are among the possible side effects of Esgic Plus. If you experience several of these symptoms simultaneously, consult your doctor immediately.

Storage

Do not expose to heat, moisture and direct light. The medicine might break up if exposed to heat or moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Overdose

An overdose of Esgic Plus or combining it with alcohol or CNS depressants may lead to a loss of consciousness and is potentially lethal. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately.

More Information

Esgic Plus may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Make sure you are aware of the full effect of the medicine before driving, operating machinery or performing hazardous activities.
