Nizoral

Nizoral is used for the treatment of chronic fungal infections. It might also be prescribed for the treatment of other conditions. Nizoral should not be used in cases of fungal meningitis.

Nizoral should be used once daily until the infection has been fully healed. In case of serious infections, higher daily dosage might be required.

Warnings Precautions

Unusual fatigue, anorexia, nausea and/or vomiting, jaundice, dark urine or pale stools are among the symptoms of liver dysfunction. These should be reported immediately in order for appropriate biochemical testing to be performed. Nizoral tablets may affect metabolism.

Missing a Dose

In case of missing a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose and take the next one as directed if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take two doses of Nizoral at the same time.

Possible Side Effects

If you experience fever and chills; skin rash or itching; dark or amber urine; fever and sore throat; loss of appetite; pale stools; reddening of the skin, discontinue the treatment with Nizoral and consult your doctor.

Storage

Store at controlled room temperature of between 15?° and 25?°C (59?°-77?°F). Do not expose to moisture.

Overdose

Constipation; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; nausea; vomiting are among the symptoms of a Nizoral overdose. In case of a suspected overdose, seek medical help at once.

More Information

Consult your doctor if infection symptoms do not improve within a few weeks (or months for some infections), or if these deteriorate.
