Propecia is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss on the anterior mid-scalp area (middle front of head) and the vertex (top of head). Receding hairlines at the temples may also be treated but there is no sufficient evidence as to the effect of Propecia in this respect. Propecia is to be used by men only.
